Program: Legislative update with Pamela McPeters, Texas Classroom Teachers Association lobbyist
Themes and Goals for 2024-2026, Officer Installations (1st VP, 2nd VP, Secretary)
Join us to start off the school year with a legislative update at the September meeting. Our speaker is Pamela McPeters; she is the public affairs coordinator for TCTA and a veteran around the Capitol for more than two decades. In addition to her work for legislators and committees, she was previously the VP of Public Affairs at TexProtects, where she led efforts to improve children's health, safety and well-being through public policy. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Learning and Development from UT-Austin.

Phyllis Richards Leadership Grants
Congratulations to Epsilon Kappa members Linda Holt and Pam Kelly for being awarded Phyllis Richards Leadership Grants to attend the DKG International Convention this summer in National Harbor, Maryland. Named for longtime UT professor and Epsilon Kappa chapter member and benefactor Dr. Phyllis Richards, the grants will cover the convention registration fee for each recipient.

Highlights from the March chapter meeting
The March meeting was packed with a panel discussion from SEL experts, a new member induction, a surprise returning member rejoining Epsilon Kappa, a 25 year pin for Claudia Knowles and the chapter vote on our new officers for 2024-2026 biennium pictured below.
